What is the Rural Project?
A purposeful and prayerful partnership, to see the gospel advance in GB villages, hamlets and market towns.
THE RURAL PROJECT
What will we do together?
The Rural Project will help catalyse and facilitate rural mission, planting and revitalisation through four core activities.
It’s often said we should focus our attention on cities because cities are centres of influence. The idea is that the gospel will then spread out to surrounding rural areas. And there maybe something in that. But we need to realise that the movement of the gospel to rural areas (with well over 10M souls) will not happen by accident. We need to be intentional.
We are committed to working together to scatter beautiful (but spiritually barren) rural areas with communities of light. Our vision has got to be equipped, healthy and missional churches in market towns and villages - shining the light of Christ in the darkness.
Networking
Bringing together rural and urban members, leaders and invested partners for discussion, prayer, mutual support - and the resourcing of our rural vision.
Conferences
Inspiring and equipping God’s people for rural mission.
Consider attending one of our next conferences.
Learning Hub
Equipping members and leaders for rural evangelism, revitalisation and planting. Consider joining a rural cohort and help implement missional change in your rural area.
Residencies
Recruiting, resourcing, relocating, readying and releasing godly and gifted men to plant or revitalise a rural church - through formal rural residencies (3yr training placements in existing churches).
